The Missouri Chapter of
the International Harvester Collectors was formed in
1992. The chapter's goals mirror those of the
national club, i.e., to preserve the heritage of the
international Harvester Company.
We achieve this goal by:
-
Holding 4 director meetings per year with all members welcome.
Input from members is vital the success of the club.
-
Hosting an annual summer show
similar to the national Red Power Roundup but on a state-wide
basis. The show is held in conjunction with other
tractor/engine clubs' shows and the location is moved around the
state.
-
An annual membership meeting is held
at the summer show. Two directors are elected each year to
replace two whose terms expire. Six directors are
responsible for the operation of the club. A president,
vice-president, secretary and treasurer are elected annually
from the director ranks.
-
We hold a club picnic at a member's
home annually in the summer, and usually the host has his
collection or items of interest available for viewing.
Besides good eats and fellowship, this affords members an
opportunity to view various member collections.
-
During the 4th quarter, the chapter
hosts the Christmas meeting and provides a catered meal.
There is usually a small grab bag type gift exchange and
entertainment provided.
